Mike Holst is a native Minnesotan who grew up in the area and now lives and writes in North Central Minnesota and has been actively writing for the last 13 years. He is a weekly columnist for the Northland Press, a local newspaper that serves a lot of people in the lakes area and has built himself quite a following. He is a regular contributor to the Brainerd MN. Dispatch and several outdoor magazines. His real pride however is in his fiction novels. He has published eight novels, over the last ten years, all Minnesota stories except one, and all so very different. His ninth novel is due to be released early next year.
Mike’s stories are unique because they are all so different and you may find it hard to believe the same author wrote them all. They include police mysteries, survival stories and a bit of the super natural. All stories, done so real, you will believe they really happened. His characters really come to life for you, with his attention to detail and descriptive writing.
Mike’s books are available at most area bookstores and on the Internet, at Amazon.com and Barns & Nobles web sites and the iuniverse bookstore. They can be purchased as paper books or digitally for readers. In Crosslake, Minnesota all of his books are available at Reeds market.
